Nursing License Endorsement

Already licensed in one state? Learn how to transfer your nursing license to another state through the endorsement process.

What is Endorsement?

License endorsement is the process of obtaining a nursing license in a new state when you're already licensed in another state. It's often called "license transfer," though technically you're applying for a new license based on your existing credentials.

NLC Alternative: If both your current and target states are members of the Nurse Licensure Compact, you may not need endorsement at all. Learn about the NLC
